Hiring Philosophy
Studies have shown that for companies to thrive and remain relevant, employee diversity at all levels of an organizational chart should be a top business priority as it is a key driver of innovation and creativity. The same is true of law firms. While many law firms claim a diverse hiring practice or a commitment to diversity, their ranks do not support such claims. Beusse Sanks principal is to hire the best and by “best” any types of implicit bias is not included in our hiring decisions.
At the time Jim Beusse hired Terry Sanks, Jim did not care about a person’s sex, race, nationality, religion or sexual orientation. He simply wanted professionals who could do the work and work together as a team in meeting clients’ needs. When Terry managed their prior firm for over a decade of its existence, he ensured that the firm’s hiring practices were based on this fundamental principle which resulted in their former firm becoming one of the most diverse IP firms in the nation under Terry’s leadership.
This philosophy is a cornerstone of Beusse Sanks as we remain committed to fostering, maintaining and celebrating an environment where creative solutions and new ideas are welcomed from all employees as we passionately represent our clients. We also exclude political views from the equation as we strive to be a united firm with a singular focus of serving our clients, first and foremost, as we provide more than IP services, but instead IP solutions.
– Electrical/Mechanical/Biotechnology/Chemical Patent Attorney or Agent: Are you dynamic and focused on providing the client patent solutions rather than prolonging the patenting process for a client? Are you willing to assist in developing and expanding the firm’s patent practice? If this describes you, then we should talk!
– Intellectual Property Paralegal or Legal Assistant: The backbone of any intellectual property practice is its support staff. We are seeking individuals who either are already knowledgeable about what it takes to maintain an intellectual property practice or have a strong desire to learn. This position requires individuals who demonstrate a true attention to detail. This position requires individuals who not only can take direction but are comfortable working with other support staff as everyone works towards a common goal.
– IP Litigation Attorney: Are you able to think outside the box to produce IP litigation solutions for clients? Too many litigators attempt to take a cookie-cutter approach to litigating. We do not! If you believe you have what it takes either enforce our clients’ intellectual property or defend them against others, then we should talk!
As Beusse Sanks grows, we are focused on hiring intellectual property attorneys who possess a book of business or are hungry to build a book of business, and demonstrate a commitment to maintaining current on new, and exciting technology trends.
